This policy explains how Inspiring Ventures ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses and stores personal data when you use this website, complete our AML Compliance Health Check, subscribe to our email list, or buy one of our compliance products. It is written for people in the United Kingdom and is drafted against the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
Inspiring Ventures is the trading name used for compliance training and documentation products aimed at UK estate agencies and property sourcing firms.

We are the data controller for personal data you provide to us directly through this website, our funnel, or our checkout.
We collect only what we need to do three things: deliver the product you asked for, answer your questions, and comply with our own legal obligations (anti-money laundering record-keeping, tax, etc.).
| What we collect | When | Why | Lawful basis (UK GDPR) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Name, firm name, email | When you complete the AML Compliance Health Check quiz or subscribe to our email list | To email your quiz result, send the PDF report, and send follow-up content relevant to the result | Art. 6(1)(a) consent (you tick the box); Art. 6(1)(f) legitimate interests (follow-up to a quiz you asked to complete) |
| Your quiz answers | When you complete the Health Check | To calculate the result, route you to the right guidance, and flag specific compliance gaps we can help with | Art. 6(1)(a) consent |
| Your firm's AML Policy answers (wizard) | When you complete the Bespoke Procedures Wizard after purchase | To generate the Word document pack we sell you, and to hold a backup copy for customer support | Art. 6(1)(b) contract performance |
| Purchase details (order reference, amount, billing email) | When you buy a product | To deliver the product, issue receipts, keep tax records, and handle refunds or support | Art. 6(1)(b) contract; Art. 6(1)(c) legal obligation (tax records) |
| IP address, browser, pages visited | When you visit this website | Site analytics and basic security (abuse prevention) | Art. 6(1)(f) legitimate interests |
We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under the age of 18. Our products are aimed at regulated businesses, not consumers.
We use a small number of established third-party services to run this business. Each has its own privacy policy, which you should also read.

We do not sell personal data. We do not trade data with affiliates. We use these services to operate, not to monetise data.
You can ask us to delete your data earlier than these periods where we are not legally required to keep it — see section 6.
This website uses cookies only where necessary for the site to function. We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking. Third-party services we link to (SamCart, MailerLite, Perspective) may set their own cookies when you interact with them; their policies govern those.
Under UK GDPR you have the right to:
To exercise any of these rights, email neil@inspiring-ventures.co.uk. We respond within one month.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
Some of the services we use (e.g. MailerLite, Perspective) process data outside the UK, typically in the European Economic Area or the United States. Where data leaves the UK we rely on the adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses in force between the UK and the destination country.
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data — including encryption in transit (HTTPS), access controls on server-side stores, and limited retention windows. No online service can be perfectly secure; if we become aware of a personal data breach affecting you, we will notify you and the ICO as required by law.
We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top of this page will change. Material changes will also be flagged in our next regular email to subscribers.
